Lockton Re welcomes Simon Moore and James Boon to its Non-Marine Retrocession and Property Specialty Division

LONDON, 5th November 2021 - Lockton Re, the global reinsurance business of the world’s largest privately held independent insurance broker, is pleased to announce that Simon Moore and James Boon have joined the Non-Marine Retrocession and Property Specialty division in London as part of Lockton Re’s growing global platform.

Matt Foreman, Head of Non-Marine Retrocession and Property Specialty, Lockton Re, said, “The progress of the team, established in Q4 2020, has been phenomenal and we could not be happier with the build out. Simon and James bring an important boost to our resource, skillset and diverse offering to clients as we head into a potentially complex renewal in the retrocession market.”

Simon joins as a Senior Broker bringing valuable expertise and experience with nearly 30 years of market experience in both London and Bermuda in both underwriting and broking. Starting his career in Lloyd’s before moving to Aon in 2002 as a Loss Modelling Analyst and Account Manager for North American Property Treaty. He then spent time at Gallagher Re in London and Bermuda, subsequently becoming a Broker at Aon Benfield in Bermuda. In 2015, Simon moved to Markel CATCO as a Senior Underwriter and most recently was CUO of CATCO’s Investment Management on the Island.

James joins as a Senior Broker, with an excellent reputation in the London Market. Most recently James was a Reinsurance Broker at Aon specialising in Property Retrocession and Cat/Risk on D&F but also has experience of underwriting with time spent at Arch and CNA Hardy. Both Simon and James encapsulate that fully rounded perspective and understanding that is embraced at Lockton Re.
